About Me.....

I studied Piano and Double Bass at The Purcell School and The Royal Academy of Music. On leaving college I co-formed a Jazz Rock band called '64 Spoons' (don't worry, nobody else has heard of them either). After the 'Spoons' disbanded (due to being able to play more than 3 chords - a lot more - during the Punk boom of the early 80's) I started composing and arranging music for theatre (most notably for a 17 year - and counting - run of 'A Christmas Carol' in Stockholm, Sweden). I have also played Keyboards/Piano in many bands as diverse as the backing band for 'The Chippendales' - Strand Theatre (dirty work, but someone has to do it), Dance bands at Claridges, The Langham Hilton and numerous private functions up and down the land.

For a more detailed list of my credits as Pianist/Keyboard player please click here.

I am an experienced Piano teacher of many years standing and can provide other musical services such as tuition in improvisation and Song (Coaching for musical auditions). I also provide a bespoke music transcription/transposition service as well as producing and recording music and voiceover demos in my home project studio.

Update: Recently I was string arranger and pianist on the singer - Victoria Hart's album 'The Lost Gershwin' - a collection of hitherto unrecorded songs by George Gershwin!

I live in Hornsey, North London with my wife, Lesley and daughter, Emily.
